How To Join Police Academy

The Nigeria Police Academy, located in Wudil, Kano State, gives a great opportunity to all the Nigerian citizens of good character, both male and female, to serve their motherland by completing one of the courses.

The institution commenced selling of forms on November 12, 2014. The process will continue till March 31, 2015. This gives everyone chance to think about their future and chances.

Here are 5 things you need to know before applying:

1. How To Start?

Purchase PIN CODES from any of the branches of Zenith Bank Plc nationwide at the cost of N3,500.00 only, which includes bank charges of N500.

The application form has to be filled-in online, so proceed to the official website of the Academy: www.nigpoliceacademy.org

2. No JAMB-UTME – No Study!

Apply through the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and indicate the Nigeria Police Academy Wudil as your first choice university, as well as sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

On submission of the applications, download the acknowledgement form. After the release of JAMB RESULTS, in case a candidate scored at, or above, the national cut-off marks, he / she should return to the Police Academy website and download examination cards.

3. Make Sure You Comply With Physical, Other Requirements

a) Age: 18…22; height – 1.67m+ (male), 1.62m+ (female); free from any physical or mental disability.

In addition, male candidates must have an expanded chest size of not less than 36 inches (91cm).

b) Candidates must have obtained a minimum of SIX credits at the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) at not more than 2 sittings and including a credit pass in English Language and Mathematics as well as subjects relevant to the candidate’s chosen course of study in the Academy.

c) Candidates must also obtain satisfactory scores in both the written examination and the interview and must pass rigorous physical psychological tests of fitness.

d) Present new certificates! Statements of Result or Certificates relating to examinations taken before 2010 will not be accepted.

4. Go To Nigeria Police Academy Wudil Entrance Examination

It is similar to the Post-UTME examination in conventional universities. A candidate shall bring the following to the venue:

– Acknowledgement Form;

– Examination Card;

– JAMB Result Slip;

– 2 Two postcard size photographs (3.5×5 inches), showing only from the chest upwards. At the back of each of the two post-card size photographs, the candidates must write their name, State of origin, examination centre and signature.

– Bank Payment Slip/Confirmation Page.

The date is May 30, 2015, Saturday. Only candidates who achieve a UTME Score at, or above, the national cut-off points will be eligible to sit for the Nigeria Police Academy Entrance Examination at their designated centres.

5. Complete the entrance examination successfully and get be invited for the Nigeria Police Academy Selection Board Interview. The list of successful candidates will be published on our website and in some national newspapers.
