‘I used to masturbate, smoke and date married men’ – Actress Nichole Banna

Nichole Banna, who has featured in many good films has come out to confess her sins after claiming to have given her life to Christ.

The Nollywood actress and model, revealed in a touching post on IG,  how she had to fight through smoking addiction, masturbating and her guilty habit of dating married men.

She wrote;

Part 1..Am sharing this testimony because I want to honour the one behind the transformation in my life. I have always been a God fearing girl, my relationship with the Holy Spirit is one that gets stronger by the day. Am grateful for being connected to a great man of God David Ibiyeomie whom through his teachings and books have brought me closer to God.
There’s a difference between having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and being religious. Am glad I can boldly say I belong to Jesus Christ because I really fear and try my best to obey all I see in His word with the Help of my Sweet Holy Spirit. Before now I was just that young girl that wanted everything some girls thought are the priorities in life. So back then I dated married men whom will end up loving me so much and doing all I asked,thereby spending less time with their wives. Back then it felt good to be loved and taken care by someone’s husband and it seemed normal.But as God may have it i became born again. Attended WOLBI (WORD OF LIFE BIBLE SCHOOL )in Salvation Ministries.
I encountered light and stopped everything that has to do with married men and all they had to offer despite the pressure. I became content with what I have and trust me God didn’t lie when He said that He will provide everything I needed if I seek Him first. Letting go of that completely doesn’t make me a perfect girl because no one is perfect but it felt good to go into a covenant with God,and watch Him fulfil His own part. The transformation didn’t end there cause I still had other things I was doing that doesnt glorify God.

Nigerian male barbie, Bobrisky has spoken out for the first time since he was arrested in Lekki, Lagos on November 7th, 2017.

Speaking to LIB exclusively, Bobrisky revealed that serial entrepreneur Toyin Lawani was the one who called for his arrest stating that she accused him of stealing his customers.

This is coming after  a call was put through to Toyin Lawani, and her personal assistant who spoke to LIB said; “please she has nothing to do with that. You people should stop linking her to it”.
Another close associate to Toyin Lawani confirms her claim saying, ‘Toyin won’t stoop so low’.

Bobrisky revealed that the case was reported in Abuja and that he is currently on his way in Abuja to resolve the issue.

In his words;

Toyin Lawani asked her lawyer to write petitions against me that I worked for her and I’m selling cream to all her customers. Which was a fat lie. I never worked for Toyin. She was my friend. I can’t remember ever working for Toyin or learning how to make cream from her.

Then she also said I threatened her. So we are going to Abuja cos that was where the case was reported. Before she wrote petitions against me, she had already threatened me that she is giving me 7 days to go to the internet and apologize to her which I said no way because she offended me. I think because I refused to apologize, she got the police involved.
Speaking about what transpired at the police station yesterday, Bobrisky said his phones were taken for him and he was told that he needed to wait until morning in order to go to Abuja.
Yesterday at the police station, I was sitting at the counter and I was told I needed to wait until morning to go to Abuja.  My phone was taken from me so I couldn’t talk to anyone. I’m trying to get in touch with my lawyer and all the people I know.

I made a decision to keep my family off social media, but my girl just turned 15’ -RMD celebrates daughter

Our favourite Zaddy, Richard Mofe-Damijo a.k.a RMD’s daughter just turned 15 and the proud dad who made a decision few months ago to keep his family off social media, took to Instagram to celebrate, while also hinting that he did it because he had something to say.

Here’s what he wrote;

“Several months ago I made a decision to keep my family off my social media accounts but today as my little girl turns 15, I am compelled to say something. I’m not exactly certain why but perhaps it’s because every father nurses some level of uncertainty about their little girl growing up. It doesn’t matter where, Nigeria or the US, the fears are there. The fears are doubled today because of the exposure to the internet which is fraught with all kinds of dangerous notions, warped narratives and risky things, but you are my girl, who above all knows and fears God. My fears are calmed by the fact that you have been instilled with values that are not of the world but of the word (of God), which is why I know you will grow into a fine woman who will be a light and beacon to and for your generation. I believe God that you’ll continue to grow in wisdom and in grace and that the light of God’s word will always guide you to make the right choices.
Make yourself and everyone that loves you proud baby. Daddy is rooting for you, so go on my sweet cakes and enjoy your day and never forget that daddy loves you silly as always.
Happy Birthday baby.”

Nigerian born actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, Beyonce and others to star in remake of ‘The Lion King’

Beyonce is set to voice Simba’s childhood friend turned love interest Nala in the live-action remake of Disney’s “The Lion King,” the singer and studio announced Wednesday.

The 36-year-old pop megastar confirmed the long-rumoured role in a Facebook post that showed headshots of the voice cast, also revealing that Keegan-Michael Key (“Why Him?”, “Storks”) will be playing a hyena named Kamari.

Alongside Beyonce — and mostly previously announced — will be Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones reprising his role in the 1994 animated movie as Mufasa, and then Nigerian born British actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor as his nemesis Scar.

Comedian John Oliver was confirmed as Zazu, while other big names in the production — set for release in July 2019 — include Seth Rogan and Billy Eichner.

“It is a director’s dream to assemble a talented team like this to bring this classic story to life,” said director Jon Favreau, who helmed Disney’s hit live-action remake of “The Jungle Book” (2016), in a statement confirming the cast.
The production will build on Disney’s hugely lucrative reimagining of that movie and several other classics from its vaults — including “Beauty and the Beast,” “Maleficent” and “Cinderella” — for contemporary audiences.

“The Lion King” is one of the biggest animated films of all time, with a lifetime global box-office gross of just under $1 billion.

It won Oscars for the song “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” by Elton John and Tim Rice, and for its score by Hans Zimmer, plus two Grammy Awards, with the soundtrack selling more than 14 million copies.

The stage production made its Broadway debut in 1997 and went on to win six Tony Awards.

Translated into eight languages, the film’s 23 global stage productions have been seen by more than 85 million people. The worldwide gross for the brand exceeds that of any film, Broadway show or other entertainment title in history.

Stunning early footage of the live-action version shown at Disney’s D23 fan convention in Southern California in July climaxed in the iconic moment when Rafiki introduces newborn Simba to the animals of the savannah.

“This is a story that belongs to everyone who grew up with the original film,” said Favreau.
“I wanted to demonstrate that we could be respectful of the source material while bringing it to life using new techniques and technologies.”
