Friends and family members had been using a social media campaign to find the missing psychology graduate since she went missing nearly a year ago after leaving work.
Three weeks ago, after the rotting body was found, Noreiga’s parents identified the remains as belonging to their daughter, Fox Latino News reported Monday, citing the Mexican newspaper El Milenio.
Relatives were able to recognize her because of her hip and breast implants, according to police.
