1960s Pop Singer Lesley Gore Passes Away At 68

She was the voice behind hits like “It’s My Party” and “She’s A Fool” and sadly Lesley Gore died on Monday (February 16) in New York City.

The 68-year-old singer succumbed to cancer, according to her partner of 33 years Lois Sasson, and is survived by her mother Ronnie and her brother.
Gore was discovered as a teenager by legendary producer Quincy Jones and scored a contract with Mercury Records. Her hit catalog also included singles like “Maybe I Know” and “That’s The Way Boys Are,” and Lesley also played Pussycat on the television show “Batman.”
