It was one of the most popular sci-fi series of all time and now “The X-Files” is slated for a return to the Fox Network.
According to a press release, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their roles as Fox Moulder and Dana Scully and original series creator Chris Carter will man the helm.
Production on the six new science fiction investigations will begin this summer. Carter told press, "I think of it as a 13-year commercial break. The good news is the world has only gotten that much stranger, a perfect time to tell these six stories."
